Students in Tipperary turn their school into a Barbie dream house

Ursuline sixth-years and their Year Head, Ms Carroll, organised a fun filled day of activities for the whole school on Tuesday, October 3, picking Barbie as their theme.
There were splashes of pink everywhere in classrooms, on the corridors, in the Sport Hall and in the office. Roller Disco Barbie’s, Sporty Barbie’s, Science Barbie’s, a Veterinarian Barbie, Surfer Barbie, Business Barbie, Cowgirl Barbie’s and plenty of Ken’s took over the school.
It was immensely enjoyable and all in the good cause of raising vital funds for the Ursulines in Kenya who are based in Turkana and Kitui.
The students of UCT collected over €5,500 from Mission Day, with all the funds being channeled directly into helping young Kenyan women who need it most.
The sixth-years had loads of things on offer, including yummy treats in the food hall, a haunted house, a Barbie trivia quiz, Just Dance to Barbie themed tunes, Barbie Bingo Loco, dress the Barbie, a bouncy castle and Barbie gems and face paint.
Thanks to everyone for their generosity and contributions to this worthy cause.
