County Tipperary Chamber's recent snow and ice survey asked businesses to outline the challenges they faced during the recent weather warnings in Tipperary.

The chamber called the findings of the survey 'stark'.

The survey showed that 85% of businesses in Tipperary experienced closures, some for up to a week.

Revenue losses ranged from €1,000 to over €10,000, with retail and hospitality particularly affected.

A total of 57% of businesses reported additional costs for heating, repairs, and snow clearance.

The chamber said to business owners impacted by the bad weather: "We are lobbying hard on your behalf and will continue to engage with stakeholders to ensure practical solutions are implemented."
