1.
2. Paul Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) Maher was tasked with picking up the every dangerous John McGrath and he made a very good fist of it last Saturday night. McGrath didn't score from play which is a highly rare occurrence indeed, as Maher was like glue to the Tipperary forward all night. A fair operator is Maher and there aren't many corner backs as good as him at club level in the county.

3. Denis Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) Denis Maher is a man who continues to impress in the number three jersey. He was part of a very mean Sarsfields defence again on Saturday night, and while he didn't feature in the game heavily, there was a solidity that only his presence back there could give.
3.
4. Fergal Hayes (Kiladangan) Hayes is one of the unheralded members of this Kiladangan team for a long time now. He was solid as a rock last Sunday and was the only member of the full-back line not to be put in huge trouble by Darragh McCarthy. Oozes confidence on the ball and just goes about his work without fuss.
4.
5. Aaron Morgan (Kilruane MacDonaghs) The younger of the Morgan clan was in terrific form for Kilruane MacDonaghs in their relegation semi-final win over Upperchurch Drombane. Morgan was up and down the field like a yo-yo all game and chipped in with 0-3 to boot.
