6. Seamus Kennedy (St Marys) Kennedy is the fulcrum of this Marys team, and he was outstanding once again in their narrow one point win over Newport last weekend. He has become a really consistent performer at club and county level.
6.
7. Robert Byrne (Portroe) Along with Breen at full back, Byrne makes up a very solid spine to the Portroe defence and he had another good game against the Swans. He hit a fantastic long range free when the game was in the melting pot, and was very good when in possession.
7.
8. John Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) The only player to make the team despite coming in as a sub. Maher has been a really good operator at all levels for Sarsfields over the years, and his introduction in the second half was a big factor in his side reversing the deficit at half time. Class player.

9. Darragh Tynan (Roscrea) Tynan had a field day against Kiladangan at the weekend. He was well on top in the middle third throughout, and chipped in with a nice total of 0-4 in the game. Stepping up as a real leader for Roscrea.
