2. Matt Ryan (Upperchurch/Drombane) Part of a back line that conceded just 0-10 against Brackens, Ryan was once again a big part of that effort, keeping every attacker honest who came across his path, while he was a constant in possession for most of the game. A consistent performer.

8. Aldo Matassa (Clonmel Commercials) Matassa was in excellent rhythm for Commercials last weekend, and he was a big part of the control room in midfield, dictating a lot of the good Clonmel play.

9. Noel McGrath (Loughmore Castleiney) In contrast to his play on a hurling field, McGrath plays a far more workmanlike role for Loughmore's footballers, as he was once again a big link between attack and defence. A cool operator who knows how to win games.

10. Mark Kehoe (Kilsheelan/Kilcash) In a titanic midfield battle against Noel McGrath and Sean O'Connell, Kehoe more than made himself a match as he was a constant sight on the ball for the south team, and chipped in with a brace of beautiful points.
