2. Liam Ryan (Toomevara) Cian Darcy scored 1-2 during the game but with several of those scores thrown out to him, he had little influence away from that and was kept quiet by Liam Ryan. Ryan has slotted back into the corner after the loss of Jake Ryan and has played well since.

3. Denis Maher (Thurles Sarsfields) Not much else needs to be said for Denis Maher at full-back. He continues to make it in an inhospitable area for forwards and had a terrific game again in the win over Roscrea.

4. Ed Meagher (Loughmore Castleiney) Had the unenviable task of picking up Jake Morris and he did as well as anyone could hope in Borris-Ileigh. Morris only managed 0-2 from play during the game and Meagher can be delighted with his days work.

5. Alan Flynn (Kiladangan) Had the freedom of Dolla as he runs from deep and shooting from distance were impossible for JK Brackens to deal with. Five points from play from half-back is a very good days work!
