14. Darragh McCarthy (Toomevara) A young man who made one of the biggest impressions of any player in this year's competition was Darragh McCarthy. Still only 18 he has so much potential and to deliver performances like he has in his first year of adult hurling is incredible. He had experienced defenders on toast in so many games, but his scoring-taking ability is highly impressive. He hit 2-34 for the Greyhounds with 2-13 of that coming from play. He has rich potential.

15. Darragh Woods (Holycross Ballycahill) Woods was simply remarkable for Holycross Ballycahill this year. He scored some breathtaking points for his side, particularly in the quarter-final loss to Kiladangan with some of his efforts out of the very top drawer. 2-37 is some shooting and with 2-17 from play in that total, he is a worthy inclusion.
