Teenager strikes a blow for his swimming club in Tipperary

Significant milestone in the club’s competitive journey
Tipperary Tigersharks Swim Club is proud of the historic achievement by 15-year-old squad member Sean O’Gorman, who secured bronze in the Individual Medley (IM) at the recent Munster Long Course competition held at the University of Limerick.
This result marks the first time a Tigersharks swimmer has medalled in the IM category at this level, making Sean’s performance a significant milestone in the club’s competitive journey.
His strong showing across all four strokes demonstrates his versatility and determination as a rising athlete.
Sean’s bronze medal now places him in strong contention for qualification for the summer nationals at the National Aquatic Centre, where he hopes to continue his upward trajectory against Ireland’s best.
Tigersharks Head Coach Michael Foley commented: “This is a proud moment for the entire club. Sean’s bronze medal in the IM is a breakthrough for us and a well-earned reward for his focus and commitment. We’re excited to see where he goes from here”.
The entire Tigersharks community is behind Sean as he sets his sights on the national stage.
