Good work

Gortnahoe Glengoole Notes

Tidy Village:

Thanks to a small group of volunteers who cleaned, weeded and removed overgrown ivy and briars from the alleyway alongside the Pumphouse on New Street Littleton last Wednesday.

Also to Murphy Machinery who removed old iron gates that were no longer in use.

Contact has been made with the Presbyterian Library in Belfast in the hope of filling in the history of the ruins of an old Presbyterian Church, situated at New Street, part of which was converted to a flowerbed after road widening removed the rest.

Agile volunteers are needed on Wednesday, April 26, at Our Lady's Grotto to help remove ivy that is threatening the stonework.
