This Tipperary school is so proud of the amazing results brought home by their athletics students
As they should be!
St Mary's Newport had a very successful day in Pallaskenry (North Munster Schools Cross-Country) on Thursday, February 2.
These are the results:
Individuals through to Munsters:
Leah Berry 6th
Ailin Kennedy 12th
Eibhlinn Bourke 13th
Oisin Kennedy 12th
Brian Tobin 14th
Teams through to Munsters:
Junior girls- Leah Berry, Rubi Walker, Ellen Hackett, Lauren Gaffney, Kerri Moroney and Carragh O'Neill
Inter Boys- Tadhg Mc Elligott, Charlie Tobin, Cillian Kinsella, Patrick Sheehan and Evan Ryan
Senior Boys third place: Brian Hammersley, Felim Deegan, Emmett Crowe, Aaron Lenihan, Cian McNamara, Jim Barry and Brian Tobin.
This is the biggest team/school result, especially by students who are not in an athletics club to bring a team home, especially Inter and Senior Boys. We had the biggest entry of all schools, and Newport had 91 athletes in total.
Munsters are in Waterford on February 24.
