Thurles Crokes athletes perform brilliantly at All-Ireland finals in Fermanagh

Last Sunday 17th November Thurles Crokes had a strong group of athletes head North to Fermanagh for the All Ireland even age and Senior Cross country.

It was a fantastic day starting out with the U12s who had one solo athlete in Brendàn on the Tipperary Team, where he ran a fine race over a demanding course.

Next up were out U14 boys team made up of the Cahill twins, Charlie and Harry, Christopher after his excellent schools cross country win last Thursday, Odhran, JD and Evan.

These boys ran out of their skins challenging all the way to the finish while th ethurles athletes focus turned then to the senior men who had the task of covering the course which had been well and truly torn up from the previous races.

With such a large and high quality field it took considerable effort yet they were always up for the challenge as Cathal, Darragh, Caolàn and William with a strong display of running came home with a set of bronze medals for their efforts.
