Halloween launch plans scrapped as Thurles Market Quarter awaits Christmas debut

The launch of the new Market Quarter in Thurles has been pushed back.

The covered facility beside the Town Park and The Source Arts Centre was originally scheduled to be ready for public use by next month, in time for Halloween. Construction difficulties have since emerged, preventing completion on schedule.

District Administrator Sharon Scully confirmed that the opening will not take place as planned.

The space had been expected to host activities during the upcoming Circling the Square Festival and over the Halloween period.

The revised timeline now aims to have the Market Quarter open by Christmas.
