Tipperary gardaí on the hunt for a 'station cat' after lovely lost feline won them over
The cute kitty has now been returned safely to its owners
Clonmel Garda Station could be on the hunt for their very own "station cat" after a friendly feline wandered into the station and spent the night.
In a post from An Garda Síochána Tipperary on Facebook, word was sent out that the little cat was at the station in the hopes the owners would see it and come get it.
The post read: "So, we know Clonmel Garda Station isn't the purrfect place for this Cat who has been living here with us since last night..... We're hoping it will live out the rest of it's lives with their owner
"This cat is about the station (even walking around inside! ) & we are hoping it's owner will contact us & take them home with them
"Until then, we're off to get some more cat food."
Less than 24 hours later, the gardaí updated the story to say the owners had come forward to take their furry friend back home.
But it seemed it had made a lasting impression with gardaí, as they said they are now looking for their very own cat to live in the station.
