6. Ronan Maher Rating: 8/10 Aside from Shelly, Maher was the only player in blue and gold to stand up. He was immense all game long and took the fight to Galway as much as he could, hitting an amount of possession all game and scoring a second-half point. A class act.

7. Dan McCormack Rating: 5/10 Had little to no influence on the game at wing-back, initially picking up Conor Whelan before the Kinvara man relocated into the full forward line early on. Couldn’t grab the game like he normally can.

8. Conor Stakelum Rating: 6/10 Stakelum put in a massive effort in the first half when Tipperary were floundering and he did his level best to try and get into the game, but to no avail. He was part of a midfield that was second-best all day and was eventually substituted in the second half.

9. Noel McGrath Rating: 6/10 Had his customary moments of magic in linking up some of the play - most notably a pair of semi-goalscoring chances for Alan Tynan - but his usual assuredness from shooting range deserted him, hitting four poor wides which sucked the momentum from Tipp. And that is a pity, as the captain had a fine year overall.
