10. Alan Tynan Rating: 6/10 Got himself into some good positions and was unlucky to just miss the far post of Éanna Murphy’s goal from a tight angle in the second half. His decision-making at times let him down but there’s no doubting his desire to get involved.

11. Jason Forde Rating: 6/10 Forde hit his frees well enough but such was the dominance of the Galway defence with the cushion of Cathal Mannion sweeping up, he couldn’t get into the game at all. Caused some havoc for John McGrath’s goal but it was a flash in an otherwise underwhelming outing for the Silvermines man.

12. Seamus Kennedy Rating: 6/10 Put in another effort-laden display and pilfered two points during the game but he struggled for large spells to get heavily involved in the game. Could do little to curtail the Galway half-back line which was dominant.

13. Jake Morris Rating: 5/10 A really disappointing and underwhelming performance from a player who looked to have taken his game to another level this year. A big factor in his lack of influence was the poor deliveries that he received most of the game, but any ball he got onto was poorly used and he ended the game scoreless which says it all really.
