2. Robert Doyle Rating: 7/10 His goal-line save from John Donnelly's shot in injury time has become even more critical since the full-time whistle, as the major would have actually put Kilkenny one up. It was the game-saving moment, and he will be remembered for this one forever more! Overall, he did well again, even slotting in to centre back for some of the game.

3. Eoghan Connolly Rating: 8/10 Situated at wing-back on Adrian Mullen, the Cashel man actually outscored his forward opponent in a terrific scoring run on the day. His first-half points were momentous and kept Tipp ticking when in that early sticky patch in the opening half.

3.
4. Michael Breen Rating: 7/10 Gave away possession on a few occasions and got turned too easily late on when Eoin Cody got in behind for a goal chance. That is being ultra critical though, as he more or less won the battle against the returning Kilkenny talisman. A consistent performer.

5. Craig Morgan Rating: 7/10 Morgan was less involved than in previous games, but he held the centre of the defence well in his role as the deep-lying six. Made the right decision when called upon and made a good, goal-saving block on Eoin Cody in the first half.
