6. Ronan Maher Rating: 8/10 After a tetchy start, Maher got on top of TJ Reid, who was largely held after his strong showing early on, where he scored two points. However, Maher stuck to the task well, and Reid's aerial presence was completely subdued.

7. Bryan O'Mara Rating: 9/10 My player of the match. He was colossal. The number of times he got in flicks and hooks to dispossess Kilkenny players was scarcely believable. Not only that, but he was on the ball endlessly and, barring one loose ball out in the second half, he was very clean in his distribution. He was on Keoghan for a few of his points, but couldn't be faulted otherwise.

8. Willie Connors Rating: 8/10 Considering the build-up to the game was so tough with the family bereavement, Willie Connors has to be credited with his efforts. He tired in the second half, but the second quarter he had helped Tipperary into the game and establish the four-point half-time lead.

24. Conor Stakelum Rating: 9/10 What an inclusion Stakelum has turned out to be. When Tipp were taking on early water, his points, possessions, and influence kept the ship afloat. His possession and work rate were through the roof when called ashore. His best ever showing in a Tipp jersey.
