2. Robert Doyle Rating: 8/10 Doyle is the man marker on this Tipp team, and continued that trend by keeping Eoin Cody very quiet. Cody started like a train in the first few minutes, but Doyle was stuck to him for the remainder.
2.
6. Ronan Maher Rating: 5/10 A tough day for Maher as the returning TJ Reid caused him no end of problems in the second half. Reid hit 1-4 from play and was unlucky for a second as Maher looks a little shy of match pace in just his second game of the league.
3.
4. Michael Breen Rating: 6/10 Not the best outing for Breen who, like Maher, is still finding his form upon his return from injury. He did okay in the battles for the ball, but struggled with his hurling and use of the ball throughout.
4.
5. Eoghan Connolly Rating: 8/10 The best of the half-back line on Saturday. He thundered into the game in the final quarter and only for some stray shooting, would have been the match winner. He hit some vital and impressive scores throughout, especially when they were needed late on.
