3. Brian McGrath Rating: 5/10 The penny is still yet to drop for the younger McGrath who left another chance to impress as a starter behind him. Liam Moore was elusive and in form and McGrath just never commanded the area. His withdrawal at half-time spoke volumes.

7. Oisin O'Donoghue Rating: 7/10 Another astute, if not inspiring effort at wing-back from O'Donoghue. He used his attacking instincts early to pick off a good score and generally burst out with the ball well at times, but it is hard to know if this experiment will continue into championship.

8. Conor Martin Rating: 6/10 Did okay on his first senior start. The Cappawhite man had struggles with his direct midfield opponents but generally did the right thing in possession and showed his pace a few times, which is a huge asset.

9. Darragh Stakelum Rating: 6/10 Worked hard but was probably less prominent than Martin in general play. His shot for goal at the start of the second half ended with Darragh McCarthy batting home, but other than that, it was a quiet evening for the Thurles man.
