6. Bryan O'Mara Rating: 8/10 O’Mara had his finest game in a Tipperary jersey to date on Sunday. Picked up Cian Lynch for large spells and kept him really quiet, while his use of the ball was nothing short of outstanding all day. He is always in the right place and has composure well beyond his championship caps to date. A real leader already.

5. Eoghan Connolly Ratings: 6/10 The Cashel man couldn’t have had a more difficult task on his first championship start, with Tom Morrissey causing him and the Tipp defence endless trouble. Morrissey found space all too often and Connolly was always chasing shadows. Steadied into the game as the minutes ticked by and was good on the ball, but he was up against a player in real form. Downhill from here.

10. Conor Stakelum Rating: 7/10 Like Kennedy, Stakelum was far from his most prominent but he just never stops moving, tackling, hooking, blocking and being a general work horse. Put in a massive effort and was basically carried off as he emptied the tank in his time on the pitch. He has a brilliant attitude.

7. Seamus Kennedy Rating: 6/10 Did a lot of the unseen work throughout the match and showed his utility and versatility to this Tipp team again. Was part of a midfield which probably lost the battle against Darragh O’Donovan and Will O’Donoghue but he was part of a middle third effort that was immense for the full 75 minutes.
