8. Alan Tynan Rating: 8/10 After a performance against Cork that highlighted his ability to the whole hurling world two weekends ago, he was given the unenviable task of sitting on Kyle Hayes. He didn’t feature in the general play at all, but he sacrificed his game to the extent that Hayes only really began to dominate after the Roscrea man’s withdrawal. He has better days ahead.

12. Noel McGrath Rating: 8/10 Team captain McGrath had a quiet first half by his own standards, but he flashed into the game in the second half, putting in a massive shift while showing his usual flair at different points when the game was in the balance. His pass to Conor Bowe was nothing short of unreal. Scarily, he seems to be getting better with age. Unreal.

14. Gearoid O'Connor Rating: 7/10 Had flashes of quality in general play, setting up a few scores and hitting one lovely point from distance after Ronan Maher set him up in the second half. But his main contribution was in terms of his free taking, leaving just one effort short and converting the other eight. Impressive considering the scrutiny of Jason Forde’s absence.

13. Jake Morris Rating: 9/10 Along with Kehoe, Morris continues to step up into a consistent performer with a fantastic display of shooting on Sunday. The Nenagh man hit 0-5 from play and popped up everywhere around the forward line as Limerick struggled to keep tabs on him. He linked up well on a number of occasions with Kehoe and the pair's energy caused ructions for Limerick. Picked up a nasty looking injury late on clearing his lines from a stray stroke from Tom Morrissey. All Star material on this form.
