Tipperary man achieves a first at EU Committee of the Regions
Councillor Michael Murphy chairs plenary meeting in Brussels
Fine Gael Councillor Michael Murphy had the distinction recently of becoming the first Irish member to chair a plenary meeting of the EU Committee of the Regions in the EU Parliament in Brussels.
Cllr Murphy has been head of the committee’s Irish delegation since 2016.
