Last week, TY student Ely White Linnane headed off to WLR/ Beat FM in Waterford for his block week of work experience.

Ely got to experience the world of broadcasting and managing a radio station.

Well done Ely and thank you to all at WLR/Beat FM @WLR for your time and willingness to support our work experience programme.

North Allerton

Written by Patrick Kennedy TY

On my work experience in England. I was working in North Allerton, Yorkshire. Everyday, I was riding out horses, cleaning them, cleaning their stables and cleaning the yard.

One day I got to go to Blackburn to collect gates and got to see the Yorkshire Dales. I flew from Shannon to Manchester. The yard was 2 hours away from Manchester.placeholder image

The countryside out there was class, and the locals were very friendly.

I really enjoyed it out there and didn’t want to go home at all. It would be my dream to move out there one day and have my own farm.
