Two drivers due in court after checks by Tipperary gardaí during 'multi-agency' probe

One driver was found to be driving with a cancelled insurance policy, no NCT and no tax, and the other was found to be using incorrect fuel.
Two motorists are set to face court appearances after being stopped by gardaí at a checkpoint in Co Tipperary.
The Tipperary Roads Policing Unit and Nenagh District Gardaí carried out a multi-agency checkpoint with Customs Officers in the Nenagh District on Wednesday.
Tipperary RPU intercepted a vehicle trying to avoid the checkpoint, and discovered the driver driving on a cancelled insurance policy.
It was also discovered that the car had no NCT or tax. Gardaí seized the vehicle shortly after the check.
In a separate incident, Customs Officers detected a vehicle using incorrect fuel during their checks.
Gardaí said in a post online that both motorists "will be facing a court appearance".
