'We support you' - Tipperary encouraged to Step Up for important fundraising event

The fundraising walk will take place on April 13 in Clonmel's Powerstown Park.
People in Tipperary are being encouraged to Step Up for Family Carers, to help raise money and awareness of the vital support offered by family carers across the county and nationally.
The Step Up for Family Carers fundraising walk will take place on April 13, with a 5km walk organised for Clonmel's Powerstown Park.
Nationally, there are over 500,000 family carers providing support to loved ones, often without recognition or adequate support, Family Carers Ireland have said.
Richie Molloy, Tipperary Carer Supports Manager for Family Carers Ireland said that the fundraising event is a chance for the people of Tipperary to show their support for family carers.

"Family carers in Tipperary do vital work, often at great personal cost. This event is a chance for the people of Tipperary to come together, step up, and show that we value and support them.
"It’s not just about the walk—it’s about making sure our local family carers know they are not alone, and that help is available when they need it," Mr Molloy added.
Irish rugby legend Mick Galwey is also set to take part in the event, saying that "caring can be isolating, and too many family carers feel forgotten.
"This walk is a simple but powerful way to send a clear message: ‘We see you. We support you. You are not alone.’ Whether you join the organised walk in Tipperary or do 5km in your own area, every step makes a difference. Now is the time for Ireland to step up."
People can take part in the walk in Powerstown Park, or they can do a 5km walk in their own area.
