Who has the right of way at this road crossing in Tipperary?

Road markings will be refreshed
Priority is given to vehicles at the uncontrolled crossing at the end of Parnell Street in Clonmel, District Engineer Nicola Keating stated in a report to a meeting of Clonmel Borough District.
The engineer’s report also stated that pedestrians must wait for the road to be clear before crossing.
“There are currently road markings in place to advise pedestrians to look left and right before crossing.
“These road markings will be refreshed and a review of advanced signage will be carried out,” Ms Keating added.
She was responding to a request by District Mayor Michael Murphy, who said there was confusion as to whether pedestrians or traffic had the right of way at the crossing in Clonmel’s town centre.
He asked if the council could provide clarification on this, and also erect signage to make it more easily identifiable as to who had the right of way.
He said that this would mitigate against a potential accident.
