Five Nenagh district towns and villages can look forward to having CCTV installed

The community-based CCTV schemes for Nenagh, Borrisokane, Burgess, Birdhill and Cooleens have been recommended for Garda authorisation, Nenagh councillors were told at the December meeting of Nenagh Municipal District Council.
The council is waiting for the final authorisation documentation to come, they were told.
The news was welcomed by Cllr Ger Darcy, who told the meeting that getting CCTV for Borrisokane had been a “bit of a struggle”.
He thanked all those on the Joint Policing Committee who had supported it and said the local gardaí were looking forward to having it operating.
