Lahart Garages acquires Tipperary dealership Ryan Motor Power Škoda

The sale of one of Tipperary’s top motor dealerships is one of the county’s most significant business acquisitions of 2022.

Ryan Motor Power Ltd., Clonmel have retained the Škoda franchise since 2011. Established by Ronan Power and Michael Ryan, the business is recognised as one of the regions premier motor dealerships employing 20 staff.

Škoda have been one of the best-selling car brands in Tipperary achieving fifth position in 2022 with 7.7% share of the local car market. Ryan Motor Power have been synonymous with the local community supporting sports and social events as well as having strong links to the Tipperary Senior Hurling Team.

Lahart Garages has acquired the Ryan Motor Power site and business on the Powerstown Road for an undisclosed sum. Established over 60 years ago in Kilkenny, Laharts have represented the Volkswagen brand since 1982 and the Škoda brand since 2006.
