Carrick-on-Suir Heritage Centre has been transformed into the Tides of Time Visitor Centre showcasing the town’s history and culture

Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke will officially open Carrick-on-Suir’s Tides of Time Visitor Centre tomorrow Thursday, July 23 at 10am.

Carrick-on-Suir Heritage Centre has been transformed into the Tides of Time Visitor Centre by Carrick-on-Suir Development Association in partnership with Fáilte Ireland.

The centre, located in the former St Nicholas' Church of Ireland off Main Street, showcases the history of Carrick-on-Suir from its origins and connections to the River Suir to its hinterland in three counties and its poets and people.

The redevelopment was funded through Fáilte Ireland’s Regenerative Tourism and Placemaking Scheme, which is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund.
