4. Johnny Ryan Rating: 5/10 Ryan came into this game fresh from a brilliant debut performance against Clare, but really struggled in this game for large spells. He marked Seamus Harnedy for much of the game and was caught on his heels a few times in the lead up to Cork goals.

3. Michael Breen Rating: 6/10 Had Robbie O’Flynn to deal with for a lot of the first half and couldn’t really be singled out for the goal, with an Alan Tynan dispossession breaking for the pacey Cork forward. His recovery pace got Tipp out of jail a few times to cut out runs at goal, but Shane Kingston definitely gave the Ballina man a torrid second half.

2. Cathal Barrett Rating: 7/10 After a very shaky opening five minutes where Pat Horgan skinned the Holycross man before taking a shot at goal, Barrett certainly kept the Cork talisman quiet. Was lucky to just receive yellow for a high hit on Seamus Harnedy in the second half, but overall he did his job of keeping the Glen Rovers man to mostly frees scored.

5. Ronan Maher Rating: 8/10 Utilised as the spare man after the opening five minutes when Cork cut Tipp to pieces, Maher hit a ridiculous amount of ball on the day. There are few in the country as effective in the role and he coupled that with some excellent fielding and general good use of the ball. He was lucky not to get a red card for a dangerous tackle on Darragh Fitzgibbon in the first half but he looked back to his best on Saturday.
