6. Bryan O'Mara Rating: 5/10 So much is expected of O’Mara but it has to be remembered that this was just his second championship start and a certain level of patience is needed. The game largely passed him by with the odd cameo piece of play, but he needs to be more influential and cut out the space in front of the full back line. Was naive for one of the second half goals as the ball was fed in behind the rearguard to Shane Kingston. More to come.

7. Seamus Kennedy Ratings: 8/10 The St Marys man received the freedom of Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday and he duly delivered the goods because of it. To be fair though, it wasn’t solely down to the Cork deficiencies that he excelled. He was immense up and down the field all day, with Noel McGrath finding him time and again as the Clonmel man registered 0-3 from play. So underrated.

8. Alan Tynan Rating: 9/10 What a game the Roscrea man had. He was ferocious in his play all day, carrying the ball, tackling, scoring, and setting up goal chances. Finished with 0-4 from play and he very nearly played a part in what would have been a sealing goal, but Seamus Callanan was well denied by Collins in the Cork goal. His step and abrasiveness is a very welcomed weapon to the Tipp arsenal.

9. Noel McGrath Rating: 9/10 Is there a better player in terms of use of the ball and vision in the country? He is really stepping into the mantle of the captaincy with great assurance and his workrate and attitude this year has been a step above his usual high standards. He, along with Tynan, taught an inexperienced Tommy O’Connell and Brian Roche a few harsh lessons as he pulled the strings all night long. What a player.
