2. Cathal Barrett Rating: 7/10 One of the few men in blue and gold to have acquitted himself with distinction on the day. He never stopped hurling and was constantly bringing the ball out of the defence, particularly in the second half. Leads by example.
2.
3. James Quigley Rating: 5/10 An early injury to the Kiladangan man put paid to his contribution in this game, and perhaps he should have been replaced earlier as he was flagging for the first two Clare goals. Unfortunate for Quigley as he hurled well against Waterford.

4. Craig Morgan Rating: 7/10 Like Barrett, Morgan was once again in good form throughout this game. Started slowly like a number of his teammates, but he came into the game and hurled very well. The one positive note of the year so far.

5. Dillon Quirke Rating: 6/10 Quirke did the needul in this game, keeping his marker in David Fitzgerald quiet but he didn't contribute much in general play when coming forward. Not a bad outing but would have been hoping to build on his good performance against Waterford.
