NEWS: Chomhairle na nOg calls for Council Open Library to be extended to 16 year olds

Chomhairle na nOg is seeking the age at which 16-year-olds can use Tipperary County Council's Open Library policy.
The My Open Library service keeps the library doors open from early morning until late at night, every single day of the year.
This innovative self-service library runs without staff, allowing members to visit beyond the usual opening hours.
With My Open Library, you can borrow and return books, print and photocopy documents, surf the internet, connect to Wi-Fi, and settle into our welcoming study spaces.
However, access is currently limited to those who are 18 or older.
Speaking at the February meeting, Olivia Darcy and James Strang highlighted how allowing younger students to use the library for study, especially during the stressful Leaving Cert exam period, would be a huge support for them.
