RIP: Tributes paid to late Tipperary man who was 'a lovely gentleman'

The death has occurred of Derek Dee, Kickham Street, Thurles and formerly Elm Park, Clonmel.

Derek is predeceased by his cherished son Joey, father Maurice and sister Sandra.

He is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children Ayla, Dylan, Melissa and Damon, grandchildren Kodie, Levi and Molly, mother Catherine (Cathy) Slattery, brothers Aaron and Aidan, sister-in-law Siobhán, nephews Aidan and Hunter, niece Isabella, neighbours and many friends.

Derek was the life of the party and friend to all. Always loved, never forgotten.

May he rest in peace.

Derek will lay in repose in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Wednesday, May 13, from 5pm to 7pm.

Burial service will take place in St Patrick's Cemetery, Thurles on Thursday, May 14, at 1pm.

Tributes have been paid to Derek online, with one person saying: “My condolences to Kathy, Aaron and Aidan and Dereks children and grandchildren on the death of Derek .. May Derek Rest In Peace .. he was a lovely gentleman.. thinking of you all at this difficult time x.”

Another said: “Our sympathies to Dylan at this very sad time, and to all of Derek's family and extended families. May Derek Rest in Peace.”
