St Mary's Newport host coffee morning for past students

On Monday, May 22, our Leaving Certificate students had a coffee morning, where our past students were invited back to meet them. They spent their time reminiscing on their fond time in St Marys while also allowing sixth years the chance to discuss their options for the future.

There was a great buzz around the place, and our past CEIST award winners were presented with replicas of the award they won.

On Wednesday, May 24, our Leaving Certificate class of 2023 graduated in style. Fr John O Keeffe joined us in the evening for mass, followed by an awards ceremony and refreshments after.

Our students made us very proud with their music, song and liturgical presentation. The CEIST award was presented to Aoife Whelan. Thank you to our Music, RE and Home Economics Departments for organising such a wonderful event.

Congratulations to our Leaving Cert construction, technology and DCG students who received awards today. Construction studies student of the year John Lee is pictured receiving his award from past student Rory O’Connor of O’Connor Woodwork Solutions.

Cormac Sheehy received the Technologies Student of the Year award from past student Gerard Nolan of Stryker Limerick. Thanks to O’Connor woodwork solutions and Stryker Limerick for continuing to sponsor these awards.

Kate Swords received the Technology student of the year award sponsored by Stryker Limerick.
