11. Andrew Ormond (JK Brackens) Ormond has had a quiet year by his own standards this term but he reminded punters what he is capable of in the win over Drom & Inch. Operating at 11, he was found in possession so often and his finishing ability meant that he was a big weapon, hitting 0-4 during the game.

12. Mark McCarthy (Toomevara) Surprisingly, McCarthy missed out on starting the first two games of the group stages but he gave everyone a timely reminder of what he can produce, this time from the start against Roscrea. He dropped deep from wing forward to good effect all game and hit four lovely points from play along with a trademark first half sideline cut. Looks to be in good form.

13. Darragh Woods (Holycross Ballycahill) An overall disappointing day for Holycross Ballycahill in defeat at the hands of Templederry Kenyons last weekend, but the performance of Darragh Woods was incredible despite that. Woods could not be quietened all game, with Templederry switching markers at least three times in the game. He finished with 1-13, 1-6 of that coming from play, and his late points were vital for Holycross to sneak into second place and qualify.

14. Sean Ryan (Templederry Kenyons) This is getting boring at this stage from a variety standpoint, but Ryan couldn’t be left out of this team. He hit some ridiculous points in the win over Holycross Ballycahill, scoring 0-5 overall but he was equally as potent in setting up teammates and was a massive handful all game. His form looks to be heading to the next level.
