7. James Morris (St Marys) One of the toughest jobs in club hurling in this county would be the prospect of marking Jason Forde, but young Morris did so with real class, holding the Tipperary sharpshooter to just a single point from play. A really good day at the office.

8. Cathal Quinn (Cashel King Cormacs) A player who stood out in a team that weren't at full capacity in Borris-Ileigh last Saturday. He never stopped all day, and he kept his team going at times with 0-3 good points in the game. Had a good year.

9. Donagh Maher (Burgess) Once again, it fell at the feet of Donagh Maher to step up to the mark for his club. He has had a rejuvenation of sorts by moving up to centre forward this year, and had big contributions in the game, scoring 1-3.

10. Evan Fitzpatrick (Roscrea) Probably up there with the performance of the weekend was Evan Fitzpatrick's tour de force against Thurles Sarsfields last Sunday. He was unmarkable, drifting deep to pick off some fantastic scores, finishing the match with a massive 0-7 total from play.
