This Tipperary student is heading to the EU Parliament following leadership competition win

Congratulations to Ursuline’s Dearbhla Ryan, Fifth Year, who was one of the Regional Rotary winners in the Youth Leadership Development Competition, the final of which was held last week.
Dearbhla impressed the judges at an interview in Newbridge Co. Kildare on Friday, November 25, to be selected as one of twenty other Youth Leaders from around the country.
She was asked about her community involvement, extra-curricular activities and hobbies and areas where she has displayed leadership qualities.
She will be heading off to the EU Parliament in Strasbourg, where she will meet MEPs and get a glimpse of how leadership works at a European level. A fantastic prize.
Well done, Dearbhla, on representing yourself, the Ursuline and the Rotary Club of Thurles with great distinction.
