A 24-hour Spinathon has been organised in Rosegreen by the combined forces of the Rosegreen NS, Community Council, GAA and LGFA
On Friday and Saturday 6th and 7th November, Rosegreen NS, Community Council, GAA and LGFA are joining forces for a 24-hour spinathon to raise funds for the resurface the mini astroturf pitch.
“The community mini astro is a shared space used by children from St Thomas the Apostle National School, GAA, LGFA and throughout the wider community” say organisers.
“At the heart of the fundraiser are the children of Rosegreen; the pupils, young players and families who use and enjoy our local facilities every week. t is a place to play, train, exercise, learn new skills and, most importantly, bring our children together.”
“Our first fundraising priority is to resurface the mini astro, creating a safer, better and more enjoyable space for all the children who use it. Once this goal is achieved, additional funds raised will support further improvements benefiting our children, school and wider community.
“For 24 hours, pupils, young players, parents, families, friends, neighbours and volunteers will come together to keep the pedals turning. Whether you cycle, donate, sponsor or spread the word, you can be part of it.”
