ALERT: Road works near Kildare Town to last for one week

Road works near Kildare Town are set to last for one week, Kildare County Council (KCC) has said.
KCC ‘wishes to advise’ that the works which are taking place at Newtown Bridge are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 until Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
According to KCC, the works are expected to continue for approximately one week.
KCC added: “To facilitate the works a temporary lane closure assist by traffic signals will be in operation.”
Lastly, KCC said that it apologises for any inconvenience caused by the works, and that it wanted to thank the public ‘for their cooperation and patience while these improvement works are being carried out’.
