Alleged Kildare drink-driving case struck out after appearing in court list 15 previous times

An alleged drink-driving Naas District Court case has been struck out, after appearing in the court list 15 previous times.

The number of times the case was listed previously was revealed by the defendant's solicitor, Seamus Boyle, on Thursday, March 7 last.

He added that the alleged offence dated back to 2018.

Judge Desmond Zaidan struck out the case without prejudice, citing 'systemic failure.'
