Naas and Sarsfields' clash in Aldridge Cup Group A this week has been changed to now take place in Sarsfields GAA as these two Kildare titans meet for first time in 2026

Kildare GAA titans Naas and Sarsfields' meet in Aldridge Cup Group A this week in a game which has been changed to take place at Sarsfields GAA HQ. An 8pm throw-in is set for Thursday, February 19 with Fergal Barry set to officiate.

Sarsfields are coming off a home win over Maynooth while Naas fell to Clane in Jimmy Higgins' first game in charge. Shaking off the rust remains the primary focus of the Aldridge Cup for the county's top teams, but, as evidenced by a hard-fought game between The Sash and Maynooth last week, stiff competition is always on the agenda.

Elsewhere in Group A this weekend, Maynooth face Johnstownbridge at midday on Saturday, February 21 while Moorefield tackle Clane and Eadestown take on Clogherinkoe with both of those games throwing in at 2:30pm on the same day. In all cases the team named first is the home side.
