A couple involved in an alleged domestic violence case have made amends, Naas District Court was told on Thursday, September 28 last.
The male in the case was accused of committing an assault against his partner.
He also stood accused of breaching an interim protection order granted to his partner and of demanding a sum of money from them, which allegedly put them in fear.
Defending solicitor Tim Kennelly told Judge Desmond Zaidan that his client and his partner had previously split up, but had reconciled and are now back together.
Judge Zaidan adjourned the case to a date in February of 2024 for hearing.
The judge remanded the man on continuing bail until the case resumes.
However, he also warned the man: "The (interim protection) order remains in place; you must respect the order.
"Don't say you haven't been told."
Judge Zaidan added: "If you (and your partner) are back together, then tell them to come back and ask me to vacate the order."
