€2.5m Kildare development featuring 24 stables gets green light

Kildare Co Council has granted planning permission for a development near Kildare town.

A major project featuring 24 stables with an estimated construction value of €2.5m will be built at Rathmuck near the Kildare Farm Foods facility. 

The designs include a tack room, a veterinary examination room and a feed store.

Also being built is an office and a canteen facility, according to the Building Information Ireland database. 

The planning documents also provide for a horse walker and a roofed dungstead with underground effluent tank.

The development has a total floor area of 1,047 square metres and is being built on a site of almost four hectares. 

Planning permission was originally lodged in April of last year.
