The incident occurred at Dara Park in Newbridge
Fire crews from three different County Kildare stations worked together in the early hours of yesterday to bring a raging blaze under control.
When asked about the incident by the Leinster Leader, a representative for Kildare County Council explained: “Kildare County Council's Fire Service was alerted to an incident at Dara Park in Newbridge at approximately 2.45am on Sunday, October 18 last.
“The initial response included crews from Newbridge and Naas fire stations.
“On arrival, the incident commander found a well-developed house fire and mobilised a third station, Monasterevin, to the incident.”
The rep also revealed that the senior officer (who was on call at the time) was also mobilised to the scene.
In addition, they said that the the fire was ultimately brought under control, and asserted that ‘fire spread to neighbouring properties was prevented’.
“All crews had departed by 4.45am and the scene was handed over to An Garda Síochána,” the rep concluded.
