Inspiring poetry for children in Kildare

Exhibition at the Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge
Based on the award-winning book ‘I Am the Wind’ this exhibition can export you to another world. On the walls of the Riverbank Art Centre's Children’s Gallery, you will discover poems about all kinds of things, from animals and nature, to skateboarding and riding horses.
You will read about friendship and loneliness, joy and sadness, and feeling like an outsider. You will find poems by well-known poets like W.B. Yeats, and poems by newer poets like Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan.
The poems have been carefully selected by Lucinda Jacob and Sarah Webb, and vibrantly illustrated by Ashwin Chacko to transport the viewer to a world where anything is possible.
Designed to inspire and evoke a sense of wonder, this unique blend of poetry and art offers a delightful experience that celebrates creativity and the power of words and images.
‘Let the journey begin' - This exhibition will be on display at the Children’s Gallery until Saturday, November 2 from Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5pm, and Saturday 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.
