Limerick GAA honorary president and long-time county sponsor JP McManus, his wife Noreen and their family are to donate €1 million to each GAA County Board.

News first reported this morning indicated that the long-time Limerick GAA supporter will make the large donation to every county and that the money is to be divided equally between clubs in the GAA, Ladies Gaelic Football Association and Camogie Association.

A donation of this nature is not McManus' first. In of 2018 he donated €100,000 to all 32 counties not long after after Limerick ended their 45-year wait for the Liam MacCarthy Cup.
