Kildare and Sarsfields star Ben McCormack earns All-Star nomination

Kildare and Sarsfields star Ben McCormack has earned himself an All-Star nomination nomination for his outstanding 2023 campaign. McCormack was one of Kildare's leading lights in what was a largely drab season for The Lilywhites and the re-shuffled management set-up will be looking to get the most out of the Sash forwards talents once again in a crucial year for Glenn Ryan and his team.

The news marks the second year in a row that McCormack is the sole nominee from Kildare for the PwC Football All Stars team. Unsurprisingly, All-Ireland Champions Dublin lead the way with 10 nominations.

The other 12 counties to have players on the 45-strong list are Kerry with nine, Derry with seven, Monaghan with four, Galway, Armagh, Roscommon, Tyrone, Mayo, Donegal who all have two and Cork, Westmeath and Kildare, all with one each.
