KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED: Benjy and Dara looking for new homes

We have two dogs at our shelter looking for new homes, one very big dog and the other, very small and dainty.

Benjy

At only a year and a half, Benjy is a male Goldendoodle, still a puppy and is unaware of his large size.

He loves everyone, has not shown any aggression and just seems to love life.

Many of our Volunteers find him much too strong to take for a walk as unfortunately he has had very little lead training to date.

Benjy needs a fit and strong adult owner in an active home. He certainly isn’t suitable for a home with toddlers or young children, as there is a danger of them being knocked over by him. We also think he’s unsuitable for a home with children under 16 as he is quite jumpy at the moment and will meet you at eye-level.

He is used to living in a home but now needs a new one due to his last owner’s poor health. Benjy is a gorgeous boy who’ll make a wonderful pet.

Dara is estimated to be no more than a year old and is a good and quiet little Terrier. Very happy to meet all the new people at the Shelter, Dara is lapping up all the attention, the nice food and warm bed. We don’t yet know how he is with other dogs, so a meet and greet will be essential if he is to share a home with another dog. He’s getting on well at the Shelter and seems to be quite content.
