KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED: Lady finds a home after being hit by car

KWWSPCA nurse her back to health
Lady is a beautiful young Great Dane Cross who came into our care last October. She had been hit by a car and both of her hips were broken.
She was almost put to sleep, but the vets did a wonderful job in treating her injuries and gave her a second chance at life.
She spent four months recuperating in two wonderful KWWSPCA foster homes and has made a fabulous recovery.
She is an extremely placid dog and enjoys lots of attention. She would love to be petted all day long.
The icing on the cake was when she was recently adopted and now has a bright future ahead of her. She had successful follow up surgery on her hips in the last few weeks and is doing very well.
Thank you to all who helped her on her journey and we wish her well in her new home in Athgarvan.
Tom Cats On The Move
If you have a male cat please get him neutered. So many go missing in their search for a female. The Kitty Cottage at the shelter has taken in four tom cats in the last month who were unneutered, and their owners can't be traced.
It’s sad for these lovely cats who most likely came from loving homes and can’t find their way back home. We receive lots of phone calls asking for assistance with lost cats. Most of these cats that go missing are not microchipped.
It is always rewarding when we rescue a lost and injured tom cat and discover they are microchipped so we can contact their anxious owners.
It is a very low cost procedure and provides great peace of mind. If you are interested in adopting one of these cats, the Kitty Cottage opens on Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm. (W12 EV60).
New home needed
Due to child allergies, this gorgeous white cat in the photo is looking for a new home. He is approximately two years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
He is still with his owner and if you want to find out more about him please email us at [email protected]
